Sua Niu Stickers

Fa'alavelave! An interruption in life and our obligation to give.  An innate behavior on how we, Samoans, unite to support our families in time of hardships and life-changing events. Traditionally, we serve sua niu (coconut) as a ceremonial gift to the Matai (chief), Faifeau (pastor), and honored guests. Today, for economical and accessible reasons, we serve soda can and a tucked in currency at ceremonial gatherings.  "Sua Niu" is a symbol of past and present- the shift and interruptions in tradition and our need to accommodate change to maintain Fa'a Samoa, The Samoan Way.
